:: Rocky Neck State Park :: East Lyme, CT ::

Dave and Jessica is one of those couples that simply belong together. From the way they look at each other to the way Dave tries to stick to his guns and the way Jessica gets him to concede these two are just awesome together and on their wedding day everyone witnessed something wonderful.

Jess is a little pinterester and her wedding was jammed packed with fabulously coordinated, themed, DIY decor. Burlap runners, mason jars, and fresh cut cedar came together to create a perfectly rustic, yet kinda beachy tablescape which perfectly worked with Rocky Neck State Park's beachy yet woodsy landscape. The space looked fantastic and it completely reflected Dave + Jessica's laid back but awesome style.

The rocky landscape overlooking the ocean served for the perfect location for Dave + Jessica's ceremony. Jess and I worked together to create the perfect setting for the ceremony and used an antique barn door (from the Amy Champagne Stock Of Stuff) against a tree surrounded by pumpkins, hay bales, lanterns and burlap accents. It was beautiful. The bride walked down the aisle fabulously crafted by my assistant Adriane and I to 1000 Years by Christina Gerri that since our 1st detail meeting a few months ago has reminded me of Jess and her big day so to see her in her beautiful gown, escorted by her proud father to her handsome groom was one of those goosebump-pull-yourself-together awesome moments.

After the ceremony, guests head into the pavilion to enjoy some cocktails and apps (my favorite) while the beautiful bride and groom, as well their best man AND man's best friend Tonka took pictures by the fantastic Laura and Carrie of Laura Dee Photography. These girls were awesome and went with the flow as the weather took some unpleasant turns.

The entire day was made by Jess + Daves's 1st dance as husband and wife. You and Me by Kenny Chesney played and they didn't do any fancy moves, its not their style, they held each other as close as possible, while surrounded by the friends and family that mean everything to them. It was perfect and you could not take your eyes off of them. It was awesome.

Dinner was served buffet style that was fabulously executed by Debbie and her awesome crew from Olde Tymes Catering. Their "Gourmet Barbecue" menu was delicious, always looked like they just served the food and was bountiful to say the least. They did a wonderful job, especially with a challenging (yet AMAZING) venue like Rocky Neck. They worked within the venue's parameters and did a stellar job!!

Dave's best man definitely wins "Best Best Man Speech of 2012, Jamie's speech made everyone laugh and cry was equally about Jess as it was about Dave and was PERFECTLY executed. I really hope someone has that one on video somewhere.

After dinner, guests packed the dance floor to the beats spun by DJ Frank of LMX Mobile Entertainment, smoked rolled cigars on the roof top deck and had a drink or two too many which by definition is the sign of an epic wedding which this one was from inital planning to clean up.

Dave + Jess - it was such an honor to be a part of your day. Adriane and I truly enjoyed every single minute of your day. xxoo

Until next time..
