This Chelsea NYC wedding at the historic Altman Building transformed one of Manhattan’s most iconic wedding venues into an intimate indoor garden celebration. Located in the heart of Chelsea, the Altman Building offers a striking industrial backdrop for couples seeking a distinctive New York City wedding venue, and this design reimagined the space with warmth, texture, and natural elements.

The couple envisioned a wedding that felt like a backyard garden party in the middle of the city. To bring that vision to life, the reception space was softened with billowing ceiling draping, warm café lighting, and lush greenery installations that created the feeling of dining beneath the trees. Bentwood chairs, neutral linens, and organic floral arrangements layered in natural texture, transforming the Altman Building into a relaxed yet elegant Chelsea wedding setting.

As the evening unfolded, guests moved from heartfelt toasts to a packed dance floor beneath glowing café lights, creating the perfect balance of elevated New York City wedding style and an inviting garden-inspired atmosphere.
