::Country Loft Wedding :: Woodbury, CT::

From the moment I met Jen at Cafe Atlatique, I had a great feeling her wedding was going to be a fun event with awesome antique accents and I KNEW I was going to love Jen because we share an mutual friend: the fabulous Patricia T. Jen's wedding took place at an absolutely breathtaking property in Woodbury, Connecticut. The Country Loft is an antique store, bed and breakfast and amazing wedding venue centrally located on Route 6 that, if you aren't looking for you could miss. Behind the easily-missed antique store is lies a hidden gem of 20 acres of rolling hills, a pond with several fountains, an absolutely epic estate and a horse corral that perfectly housed the gorgeous and regal century tent by Prestige Party Rental. The property is owned and operated by Carole Winer, a fabulous interior designer featured on HG TV (twice...) and is currently on the cover of New England Home magazine, see the article here , to name a few of Carole's accolades. Her eclectic yet classic style is represented in every nook and cranny of the Country Loft landscape. Its truly a magnificent property and absolutely rivals all of the area vineyards. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

Unreal wedding venue.

Jen's day began at her parent's home where is was only fitting for her to get ready there for the biggest event of her life as she has so many times in the past. From there, the bridal party, which consisted of parents, her gorgeous Matron of Honor Liz, and Best Man and brother of the groom, Bob head to the ceremony which took place under a beautiful crabapple tree that stood at the foot of the pond. From the personalized vows to the lighting of the unity candle the entire ceremony was wonderful and extremely heartfelt.

From the ceremony, the guests headed up to the lawn of the estate for cocktail hour in the shade, overlooking the property as the sun went down. Guests enjoyed DELICIOUS passed appetizers by [Real food by Jerry Reveron] and were surrounded by beautiful violin music.

Guests took their seats in the tent after the cocktail hour and truly "ate up" the grazing menu which consisted of a carving stations, pasta stations (with delicious butternut squash ravilois!) and antipasti station. If you read my blog often [well, as often as its updated] you know I am constantly looking for good quality food and an abundance always. Jerry Reveron and his team did.not.disappoint. Everything was timely, well-presented and was delicious, to say the very least.

After dinner, the guests absolutely danced the night with music spun by the one and only "DJ Lion King" from Scratch DJs was totally on par with his music selction AND timing.  Just when the guests may leave the dance floor to hit the bar/rest their feet/have some cake, he would play a song that was guarenteed to get them back.

The event wonderful and exactly what I expected; filled with love for Scott + Jen as they begin the next chapter of their life together as Husband + Wife. Extra bonus, there were fireworks set off that illuminated the sky at 9:30 which was perfect timing during the perfect event.

Until next time,

AC
